The Daily What had this on their post today. It was interesting to note that I'd not paid attention to the formula that this particular video discusses. It hadn't occurred to me that perhaps I was buying into the anti-female media blitz by not only watching these movies, but forgetting that a woman could be as powerful as the men in the same films. Although I don't think Fight Club would be as interesting if women were the main characters.
Why aren't there more movies out there pushing forth the female into strong roles that do not revolve around a man? Why are those movies that do bash the norm end up straight to DVD labeled as chick flicks? Abuh. Someone please help me understand this?
